Netflix has announced a new cast line-up for season 2 of the mega hit series "Squid Game" which fans have been waiting for a long time. The presence of four new players namely Siwan, Kang Ha Neul, Park Sung Hoon and Yang Dong Geun will complete the cast with old players such as Lee Jung Jae, Lee Byung Hun, Gong Yoo to Wi Ha Joon.
After receiving criticism for not having any actresses in the "Squid Game 2" cast, news of Jo Yu Ri and Park Gyu Young joining the star-studded lineup of "Squid Game 2" has been in the spotlight even though Netflix has refused to confirm it.
Now the name of actress Won Ji An is also reportedly in talks to join the cast of "Squid Game 2". According to media outlet reports on June 28 KST, Won Ji An is reportedly in talks to join the cast of the series.

Meanwhile, the first season of "Squid Game" was released worldwide on September 17, 2021 and received critical acclaim and international attention. It became Netflix's most-watched series and most-watched program in 94 countries, attracting more than 142 million household members and 1.65 billion hours watched in its first four weeks, surpassing "Bridgerton" as the most-watched show.
"Squid Game" has also received numerous awards, including the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor - Series, Miniseries or Television Film for Oh Yeong Su and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series and Outstanding Performance by an Actor Women in Drama Series for Lee Jung Jae and Jung Ho Yeon where the three of them also became the first Korean actors to win the category.
