In a live broadcast on Tuesday (2/7), PD Na said that he first convinced the house owner to rent out their place so that it could be a filming location for 'Jinny's Kitchen 2'.
"Jinny's Kitchen 2" aired its first episode on June 28. This program directed by PD Na Young Suk features Lee Seo Jin, Park Seo Joon, Choi Woo Shik, Jung Yu Mi and Go Min Si who opened a Korean food restaurant in Iceland.
In a live broadcast on Tuesday (2/7), PD Na said that he first convinced the house owner to rent out their place so that it could be a shooting location for "Jinny's Kitchen 2". "The biggest influence was 'Jinny's Kitchen' season 1 which aired on Amazon," he said.
"When we first introduced our program, they didn't know much about it because it was a Korean show. However, when I explained about 'Jinny's Kitchen' season 1, the attitude of the local people changed and they spoke positively," continued PD Na.
PD Na also admitted that he used the name V BTS to be able to film in Iceland. "I actually didn't want to give this away, but when we went (to the shooting location), we had no choice but to sell the name Taehyung (V's real name)," said the PD.
PD still remembers showing V's picture and saying, "'I don't know if you (the owner of the house to be rented) know him, but this person is BTS'." The homeowner was immediately amazed to see V join "Jinny's Kitchen" season 1.
PD Na revealed that the process of renting the shooting location for "Jinny's Kitchen 2" went smoothly after that. "So we showed them program impressions on Amazon and Taehyung's face to gain their trust and start negotiating when renting," he concluded.
On the other hand, V was forced not to take part in "Jinny's Kitchen 2". The reason is, the idol is currently still undergoing military service. However, V briefly appeared in the first episode to give directions to new interns at the restaurant.
Even though he didn't know that the new intern of "Jinny's Kitchen 2" was Min Si, V said, "Don't be slow. You have to be a little faster and make sure to do your job as a beginner. And when I come back, I hope you'll be used to it." (wk/charity)
