Go Doo Shim actually answered the concerns raised by Lee Yoo Ri. Joong Ki and Yoo Ri's worries as actors have one thing in common, namely the 'transition period'.

Song Joong Ki some time ago had expressed his feelings regarding the status of his husband. When interviewed by Chinese media, the star of the drama "Vincenzo" felt that having a husband's status reduced jobs in the entertainment industry.

"Sometimes, being a father, being a husband, means losing a job in this entertainment business," said Joong Ki. Her statement was controversial because many thought that male actors who did not feel pregnant should not say it.

Now, senior actress Go Doo Shim's wise advice is viral because it is associated with Joong Ki's words above. In the latest episode of "I Like Go Doo Shim" which was broadcast on Tuesday (27/6), actress Lee Yoo Ri initially expressed her worries.

"I'm very curious about this. Actresses get old too, right? I see and feel that the roles we take on are gradually changing. I have reached that point too. Sometimes it makes me feel anxious. Isn't the role of actresses very limited?" asked Yoo Ri.

Yoo Ri candidly conveyed her envy towards the male actor. "I feel it's unfair. Male actors can still do melodrama and play cool characters even though they are old. But actresses don't have many role choices," he continued.

Joong Ki and Yoo Ri's worries have one thing in common, namely the "transition period". Doo Shim gives sincere advice from the perspective of an experienced senior actress. "That's right. I played the mother role then changed to the aunt role," she said.

Doo Shim used to play the main role but now has more supporting and minor roles. "What I mean is that you need to accept things naturally," added Doo Shim pointing out the reality that actors and actresses will face as they get older.

Doo Shim reminisces about the experience he had. "In my case, 'Country Diaries' serves as a shield. Who is the main character in the drama? Even veteran actors like Kim Hye Ja and Choi Bool Am are just folding screens," confided Doo Shim.

"We took turns playing the main roles. Thanks to that, I didn't feel a big gap when moving from the main role to the smaller roles," he continued. However, Doo Shim emphasized that actors who have been in the main roles since the beginning of their careers must have had difficulties with this transition period

"Actors who start as main roles from the beginning seem to struggle the most. You don't have to worry too much and take it naturally. Actresses seem to age a lot. There should be more projects for them," concluded Doo Shim. (wk/charity)
