TXT to headline Korea's 80th Liberation Anniversary Night (Weverse/TXT)


Boy group TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) is scheduled to headline a special concert to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation from Japanese colonial rule from 1910 to 1945.

The concert is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and will be themed "We are the light."

The event will begin at 8:00 PM KST (6:00 PM WIB) on August 14th, the eve of the National Liberation Day holiday, at the plaza in front of Heungnye Gate at Gyeongbok Palace in Seoul.

In addition to TXT, there will also be performances by the renowned vocalist Insooni, the dance crew BUMSUP, the "Joseon Pop" fusion band sEODo BAND, and the girl groups fromis_9 and H1-KEY.

Adding to the evening's spectacle are performances by leading national arts institutions, including the National Dance Company of Korea, the National Choir of Korea, and the Seoul Performing Arts Company, bringing together voices rooted in the country's traditions.

The concert will feature immersive visual effects, incorporating media facade projections and artificial intelligence-powered lighting to create a fusion of heritage and technology.

The event is open to the public, with registration open until Thursday.

Attendees can register through the official websites of the Ministry of Culture and the organizing committee.

If registrations exceed the 1,000-person limit, attendees will be selected by lottery.
