Shocking news has come from the K-pop world. Girl group PURPLE KISS has officially announced their disbandment after four years in the Korean music industry.

The announcement was made directly by their agency, RBW, via their official website on Sunday, August 4th.

In a statement, RBW stated that PURPLE KISS will officially end their group activities this coming November.

According to RBW, this decision was made after lengthy discussions between the agency and the members regarding their future.

"We respect each other's opinions and, with hearts that support each other's dreams, have agreed to end group activities," said the agency's official statement.

Although bittersweet, this decision is considered a step taken with great consideration and mutual understanding.

Although the group's activities will end, RBW ensures that all planned activities will proceed without a hitch.

PURPLE KISS is scheduled to release an English-language album at the end of August, followed by promotions in Japan, a tour in America, and a concert in South Korea.

The agency emphasized that the final moments with their fans, Plory, will be maximized as a token of appreciation for their support.

PURPLE KISS debuted in March 2021 and is known for their unique concepts, ranging from zombies and witches to psycho characters.

Songs like "Zombie," "Nerdy," and "BBB" showcased their distinctive musical style and received much love from global fans.

Most recently, they released their second single, "I Miss My..." last July.

In their statement, RBW also expressed their deep gratitude to the six members who have given their all to the group, as well as to Plory, who has been their loyal support from the beginning.

"We've been through a lot together, and even though this journey has come to an end, the love and memories left behind by PURPLE KISS will live on," RBW wrote.

Although the separation is difficult, the public hopes that the PURPLE KISS members will continue to shine on their respective paths. /Source: NAVER, Xportnews
