Actor Kim Young Kwang has captured the attention of Korean drama fans after revealing a unique side to his role as Moon Baek in the latest Netflix series, Trigger.

In an interview with Kim Nam Gil on the YouTube channel GILSTORYENT, Kim Young Kwang said that his character is a friendly villain because, despite being an antagonist, Moon Baek is someone who doesn't hesitate to divulge information and is open.

Kim Young Kwang said that although Moon Baek is a villain, he still has a human side and isn't completely cruel.

"He's a pretty friendly villain, because he'll tell you everything," he said in a relaxed tone.

This character adds color to the drama, which has a dark and suspenseful theme surrounding illegal weapons in South Korea.

One of the main attractions of this drama is the dynamic between Moon Baek and Lee Do, played by Kim Nam Gil.

Kim Young Kwang described their relationship as a love-hate relationship.

According to him, the two characters have similar pasts but have chosen different paths in life, making their relationship filled with complex emotions.

"We share the same past, but live different lives," Kim explained.

Kim Nam Gil further reinforced this statement by saying that there is a sense of mutual understanding between the two, despite being on opposite sides.

He said that their similar backgrounds create a unique emotional bond, allowing viewers to see the depth of the conflict between the characters more deeply.

"Trigger" is a Netflix action-thriller series that tells the story of two men who wield guns for different reasons, amidst the rampant illegal arms trade and chaos gripping South Korea.

With its layered characters and ever-increasing tension, this drama is predicted to be one of the most anticipated shows of the year. /Source: NAVER, TV Report
