It tells the story of a novel that becomes reality, where a lone reader must survive in a world that is crumbling.
Kim Dok Ja (Ahn Hyo Seop) will survive in that world alongside Yoo Joo Hyuk (Lee Min Ho), the main character in the novel he reads, and his other colleagues.
The film "Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint" was released in Hong Kong on July 31st. The film topped the overall box office on its opening day.
Box office sales in its opening weekend exceeded HK$3.1 million, or approximately 6.4 billion Rupiah (based on the exchange rate of August 7, 2025).
This is the highest figure for a Korean film released since 2021, surpassing "The Grave."
Previously, the film, starring Ahn Hyo Seop and Lee Min Ho, was released in Taiwan on July 23rd.
The film has also surpassed the opening scores of other Korean films, namely "Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds" and "The Last 49 Days."
