Red Velvet's Yeri, also known by her real name Kim Yerim, shared the honest story behind her contract termination with SM Entertainment.

In a video on Hyeri's YouTube channel, titled "Hyel's Club," Yeri appeared as a guest under her stage name, Kim Yerim.

She revealed that her contract with SM officially ended at the same time as the filming of her drama concluded, leaving her suddenly without an agency.

Yeri admitted that she was initially relaxed about the future of her contract. However, as the time approached, she realized that the drama's filming period and the contract expiration date actually coincided.

This meant she didn't have time to meet or have meetings with other agencies during the transition period.

"I really didn't expect to be without an agency," she said.

After the drama ended, Yeri began to consider her next move. However, she admitted that she found it difficult to focus and wasn't the type to multitask.

This situation actually made her feel stressed, as she had to start searching for an agency in a short time.

Yeri even recounted an emotional moment, where she sobbed while drinking makgeolli at a bar.

Despite feeling stressed, Yeri remained positive. She sought advice and help from many people around her before finally finding a suitable new agency.

She is now under Blitzway Entertainment for her acting activities, while Red Velvet's group activities are still carried out under SM Entertainment.

Debuting with Red Velvet in 2015, Yeri has demonstrated her talent not only in music but also in acting.

This career transition journey is proof that behind the glitz and glamour of the entertainment world, idols also face challenges and moments of uncertainty, sometimes accompanied by tears and a drink to calm themselves. /Source: NAVER, Xportnews
